Are you looking for a carbon-free, fast-training model?
that's what the Cloudflow 4 is for! It's an excellent alternative to a carbon "supershoe" for your fast sessions on the track or your tempos on the road. Even if it's a little less dynamic, it's far more resistant and capable of absorbing more kilometers than a carbon model. On's ideal rotation: Cloudflow 4 for fast sessions and Clouboom Echo 3 for road racing.

You prefer to run with soles that aren't too thick:
This is the case with this Cloudflow, which doesn't have an inordinately thick sole like most new models at the moment. You get a good feel for the ground, the foot works well and it's responsive! Like an adidas adios or an old Nike Streak, but with better performance here.

The On brand appeals to you and you need a hard-wearing model:
Are you already a Cloudmonster or Cloudsurfer enthusiast, or do you simply want to try out your first model? This model will not disappoint. Their technology and know-how make On one of the most influential running brands of recent months.

Successful technical features :
The shoe upper is the same as that used on their carbon-plate competition model: the Cloudboom Echo 3. It's lightweight and breathable. At 235 grams on the scale, this is the lightest generation of the Cloudflow. Helion foam offers both comfort and dynamism. And finally, a Speedboard plate (not made of carbon) in the shape of a spoon between the Cloudtec sole and the Helion foam accentuates the sensation of rocking forward.

Versatile use in training:
It's mainly used for your fast sessions on the track (VMA or other) and on the road (tempo, hill sessions). But it's also an excellent companion for your pre-workout or competition warm-ups, and for your PPG/speed sessions. You can also use it for endurance training, but we don't necessarily recommend it.

Hi, I'd like your opinion on running a marathon with the cloudflow 4.
I've run 2 semi's with the old generation cloudflow but no 42 km yet.
I'm planning a marathon for February in 4h (🤞🏽) and I hadn't considered a carbon plate given my level. What do you think? Should I switch to the cloudboom for competition? Or will the cloudflow 4 do?
Hello, for a marathon you can easily switch to a Cloudmonster which will be dynamic but much more comfortable than a Cloudflow for long runs (which hits the ground a lot more on long runs). Unless you're used to running with this type of shoe 🙂
Bonjour, merci bcp pour le retour sur cette paire!
I'm currently using Hoka Mach5s for fast outings with tempo / intervals, which I really like. I'm wondering whether to go back to this pair or try the unknown with this new On pair, a brand I don't know. Would you have an opinion on the differences between these two models? And in particular in terms of durability? (I find that the foam of the Mach5, currently 800km, has lost that crazy dynamic side from the start rather quickly). Also, have you seen them evaluated in wet conditions? Are they at least permeable?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Tom, it's a model that's very similar to a Hoka Mach 5.
We haven't run 800km in them yet, but they're already better than the old version.
All these shoes are light and airy, so none of them are waterproof.
But as you've seen in our feedback, it's a great model that could largely suit you 🙂
Hello on your advice I run since July about 400 km with cloud surfer I am very happy they do all my session footing or split and my races (10 and half). I run 1'45 for the half and 44'30 for the 10 with them. Would it be a good option to have the flow 4 for the 10s and semi competitions at my level, i.e. to optimize the time a little?
Thanks again for the cloudsurfer👌👍 tip.
Hi Julien, yes, the Cloudflow is ideal for shorter distances and is much more dynamic than a Cloudsurfer. It's a superb shoe!
But over longer distances, it's likely to tap a little and create more muscle pain.
Hi, I'm looking for a pair of shoes for speed sessions on track and road as well as for 5 and 10 km competitions. Would cloudflow be suitable?
Absolutely that it would be suitable for this use 🙂

Hi, I've been running with a pair of cloudflow since 2020. (quite a different model from the 4 that just came out) and these are coming to the end of their life but have lasted because I also do trail running. I've just bought some Asics noosa tri 14 for the triathlon season coming up in a few months.
For my 10km and road training (target 10km in 44′), I'd still like to buy a pair of road shoes, certainly On's because I'm satisfied with them. Would you advise me to stay with the cloudflow, or to go for a more flexible pair (cloudsurfer/cloudgo/cloudstratus) and keep the Asics Noosa for 10km competitions?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
It all depends on what you really like, but if you already have a faster pair, a more comfortable model at On for your jogging, long outings, tempos etc... might be better to have a shoe rotation (cloudsurfer, the more dynamic cloudmonster or cloudeclipse, which is the happy medium between the two).
Hello !
I'm looking for a marathon shoe. I did my last one in a Boston 11. 3h objective, is it wise? Or a Saucony?
Thanks!
On a 3h objective, a carbon competition shoe starts to have all its interest: propulsion, muscular economy with the super-foam etc. 🙂
Hello, it's hard to find your way around all the brands and models of shoes out there. From what I've read, they're more geared towards intensity training, so for jogging and long outings you'd be better off with the Cloudmonster model? Fractionated/tempo with the Cloudflow and EF with the Cloudmontser? As a triathlete heading for the 70.3 and therefore the half to finish, which of the 2 models would be best for the half (approx. 1h40/45)? Thanks in advance
You'd be better off with a Cloudmonster, which is much more comfortable on formats like this!
The Cloudflow is very good, but quite demanding, especially over these long distances.
Good evening,
Has anyone tried the Cloudneo shoe, which is 100% recyclable and only sold as a monthly subscription?
I would be interested in this shoe.
Thank you for your reply.
Good evening, yes we've already tested it. But it's very firm, and we don't think it's suitable for daily use, but rather for short, quick sessions.
Thanks for your answer Quentin.
But it's from an ecological point of view. Does that make sense to you?
Hello, which pair is ideal for short and long splits as well as tempo, I'm hesitating between several brands, On, Asics, Puma, Saucony or other thank you.
